The Challenge
According to a brand study conducted in 2018, Campus Federal’s biggest challenge was lack of public awareness. The research also revealed that many young people still misunderstood the differences between traditional banks and credit unions.




The Strategy
Reinvigorate the brand. Develop an energized look and unique selling proposition to appeal to a millennial audience, increasing member checking accounts among the demographic.
Create a values-driven experience. Emphasize Campus Federal’s values-driven experience, mixing insightful advice with technological convenience to help young professionals achieve their personal goals.
Deploy multi-touch media. The campaign – which included digital out-of-home, programmatic display, paid social, and paid search – was structured to target consumers in Campus Federal markets, increasing awareness and frequency to draw and direct them through the funnel.
The Results
During the three-month flight, Zehnder’s media campaign drove website traffic and increased membership beyond expectations.
