The Challenge
With less than a year's turnaround from conception to implementation, launching the Woman's Hospital Perinatal Mental Health Unit was an all-hands-on-deck project. When it came time to generate awareness of this new treatment offering, Zehnder helped the Woman's team get the word out. We consulted on plans for a press conference that included elected officials, staff, media, and the governor himself. We also supported their plans for a private preview party for staff, the referral community, and community leaders.



The Strategy
While Woman’s Hospital conceptualized, developed, staffed, and built out an entire PMHU in less than 12 months, Zehnder worked to support the hospital’s internal comms team. We helped develop a press kit and facilitate proactive pitching and media tours for TV, radio, print, and blogs.
For the event, Zehnder worked with the WH team to give guests an opportunity to see the layout and experience the space before deciding to opt for a separate tour.
Woman’s designed a museum gallery-style treatment for the party and press conference, decorated with oversized photos and descriptions of the unit, so guests could gain an intimate glimpse.
