The Challenge
Zehnder partnered with the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series (RNR) to drive brand awareness and boost registration for their 16 nationwide races. The keystone event? Global Running Day, RNR’s biggest sale day of the year.




The Strategy
Zehnder managed strategy, planning, and implementation of paid media for RNR’s lead-up and day-of campaigns with the primary goal of increasing registrations. We flighted paid media according to training trends, basing audience demographic and geographic targeting on historical registration data.
For the annual brand and race campaigns, Zehnder executed a full funnel media strategy that included Pandora streaming audio ads, Under Armour native ads, Amazon Fire home screen takeover placements, paid Social Media and Search Engine Marketing as well as outdoor and radio.
On Global Running Day, we placed a Senior Digital Media Planner onsite at RNR’s corporate headquarters in Tampa, FL for real-time monitoring and optimization. Back in New Orleans, the rest of the Zehnder media team conducted real-time tracking and analytics in our Listen Hub® to ensure we were hitting traffic and conversion goals.
